In Roosendaal Bresser moved a 44 meter high chimney over 450 meters to a new location. Roosendaals’ industrial heritage had to be moved because of the re-destination of the former Philips site. Under the supervision of the local public and the press, the 450 tonnes chimney was transported by special equipment low above the ground. Bresser developed a special construction for the reloction, so that the center of gravity could be kept as low as possible. Within a few hours the chimney was relocated to its new place, where it remains a landmark of the city of Roosendaal.
