Monumental sluice restored
By order of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer in the Netherlands this monumental dam sluice build in 1893, was restored. The brick UNESCO monument received a completely new foundation, because the more than 100 years old wooden pile foundation was not equipped anymore for its task. The ‘Damsluis’ is part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam and is UNESCO World Heritage since 1996. The task is performed by the combination Wagemaker-Bresser.
